Game On Eventing Newberry Fl

We must proceed cautiously and ask that you follow our guidelines listed here and any others that may arise as things change ( hopefully progress) toward that date.

Our ability to do this safely makes your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines imperative. If you are the parent or your guardian of a minor it is your responsibility to ensure their adherence to these guidelines. If you are a coach it is your responsibility to assure compliance from your students. If you are a participant it is your responsibility to ensure adherence from your support group.

In other words we are all responsible for ensure the safety of one another and that will allow us to offer further Games. Our volunteers and staff have been fully briefed, we are discouraging spectators especially at this June Games.

So please closely adhere to these so that we may proceed safely to have 'Big Fun'. Keep reading

By now you are aware of the USEF restrictions on recognized events.

At that time we will offer full refunds minus a $15 office fee or roll-overs. Extra schooling fees can be placed in a box at the office. Similarly ribbons will be handed out immediately following posting or be mailed. No 30 minute wait period on scores so just go clear!

  6. COMPETITOR PARTY: We will forgo our competitor party and ribbon giving and encourage you to go as soon as you finish your rides.

  7. BATHROOMS: there will be a Port-a-pot with plenty of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Consider the Port-a-pot to be contaminated. We will be sanitizing regularly throughout both days but stay masked, don't take anything in with you that you might put down, if you do sanitize it after. Sanitize your hands. DO NOT USE THE OFFICE BATHROOM.

  8. HORSE WATER: We strongly recommend that you bring your horse water. We will provide water at the community tubs but you get the drift ' no gathering'. Vesicular Stomatitis is present in New Mexico so please check your horses ( guidelines for doing so are on the New Mexico Livestock Board and the State Veterinary websites ) and do not bring a horse to the Games that shows any sign of illness.

  9. EVENT ETIQUETTE: Horses and riders may not queue up at the in-gate or the start box. There will be assigned times at each venue. We will try to group coach's riders together to expedite this. Course walks for Show Jumping and Cross Country must be done masked and practicing 'social distancing '. There will be reminders about this.

  10. Volunteers and staff will be briefed about their roles & how to perform them in this environment. As well, we will be running on a skeleton crew so please be patient and allow yourself plenty of time so no one is stressed.

We will use the following EMERGENCY MEDICAL PROTOCOL :

  11. In providing patient care the provider will use a mask as well as gloves and eye protection to perform initial assessment. Should the patient need a detailed secondary assessment the patient will be provided a mask as well. Additionally all patients will be asked for symptoms in relation to COVID-SAFE practice.

  12. We apologize for the radical change in the Games open atmosphere and the opportunity to 'hang with friends'. But this is the only way we see to offer you an opportunity to get out with your horses to compete and school given the current situation. Please make the decision that makes the most sense for you and your family.

We hope The Games and its open arms attitude will be able return with the August Games. Your adherence to and help with these guidelines will assure an August Games.
